Reperta

The product

A live discovery workspace, not a slide deck.

Reperta scans a reporting estate and turns it into a working discovery workspace: every asset inventoried, scored, and explained, with a generated Day-0 assessment at the end.

01Logic-first discovery

Map how reporting is produced without copying the data estate.

Reperta follows the structures, formulas, queries, models, connections, and dependencies that create a report. Discovery focuses on the analytical mechanism rather than bulk-ingesting customer records into another platform.

The logic Reperta follows

  • Workbook formulas, named ranges, Power Query, and data connections
  • SQL views, procedures, scripts, and report queries
  • BI models, measures, source mappings, and report relationships
  • Asset dependencies, ownership, usage, and evidence

What discovery does not require

  • Copying warehouse tables into another data platform
  • Running unrestricted queries across operational records
  • Moving or rebuilding the source estate before it is understood
  • Writing changes back to customer systems

Files are processed to inspect their internal structure and calculation logic. Lineage remains evidence-backed: restricted, dynamic, encrypted, manual, or unsupported dependencies are shown as gaps rather than guessed.

02Headline views

From scan to decision in four views.

The brief, the inventory, the risk register, and the generated assessment, shown on a scanned demo estate.

The discovery brief: estate at a glance, priority risks, source coverage, and recommended next steps.

03Every view

Every corner of the estate, mapped.

Beyond the headline views, the workspace breaks the estate down by dependency, duplication, metric definition, and source coverage.

01

Estate map

Every asset and the dependencies between them. Node size shows how connected an asset is; red rings mark high-severity findings.

02

Reporting logic

The logic inside each asset, surfaced for review: formulas, queries, and measures instead of black boxes.

03

Relationships

How reports, workbooks, and data sources feed each other, so nothing critical gets cut mid-migration.

04

Duplicate reports

Clusters of overlapping reports that answer the same question in different ways.

05

Metric conflicts

The same KPI defined differently across assets, with the differences spelled out.

06

Connections

Read-only connections to SharePoint, SQL Server, file uploads, and more.

07

Scans

04Connected evidence

A map of the estate, and the reasoning behind every decision.

A transformation decision rarely belongs in one row of a catalogue. Reperta connects the asset, its logic, the people who use it, the evidence behind a finding, and the action that follows. We call that connected record the Reperta Decision Graph.

The graph is not another diagram to maintain. It is assembled from the reporting estate and enriched as people review what Reperta finds.

Traceable

Findings remain connected to the source logic that produced them.

Decision-ready

Conflicting definitions are shown with their impact, owners, and alternatives.

Built to compound

Reviews and outcomes add context instead of disappearing into another slide deck.

Reporting assets

The reports, workbooks, datasets, and models people rely on.

Definitions

The formulas, measures, filters, and grains behind each number.

Evidence

The source logic and dependencies supporting every finding.

People

Owners, reviewers, consumers, and the gaps between them.

Decisions

What was reviewed, what should survive, and the reason why.

Outcomes

Recommended actions, migration scope, and validation evidence.

05The product

Six modules that surface what matters.

Each module reads a different corner of your estate. Together they turn scattered files into a ranked, explained inventory.

01

Reporting Estate Scanner

Discovers reporting assets across connected systems, including the ones nobody mentions.

  • SharePoint & OneDrive
  • Network drives
  • Excel, CSV & Access
  • SQL Server, SSRS & Power BI
  • Board packs & legacy BI files
02

Excel Intelligence

Parses and analyses the spreadsheets running your business.

  • Formulas, pivots & named ranges
  • Cross-sheet dependency maps
  • Power Query & data connections
  • VBA & manual input signals
  • Legacy .xls and .xlsb formats
03

Power BI Intelligence

Opens the models behind your dashboards, not just the list of reports.

  • DAX measure inventory
  • Power Query source mapping
  • Report-to-dataset lineage
  • Fragile local-file sources
  • Tenant-wide model scan
04

Report Discovery

Groups and classifies reports automatically.

  • Purpose & business domain
  • Likely owner & staleness
  • Duplicates & near-duplicates
  • Conflicting metrics
  • Email distribution trails
05

SQL Extraction

Extracts the logic hidden in your data layer.

  • Stored procedures & views
  • SQL scripts & jobs
  • SSRS datasets
  • Embedded workbook connections
  • Reporting dependencies
06

AI Assessment Engine

Explains your reporting estate in plain English.

  • Executive summary
  • Key risks & duplicate areas
  • Critical spreadsheets
  • Single-owner risks
  • Recommended next steps
06Scoring

Every asset, scored on the signals that matter.

Reperta doesn't need perfect parsing to be useful. It ranks assets on five practical scores so you can act on risk, duplication, and priority.

Criticality

88

How much the business depends on an asset.

Frequently accessed · Linked from other files · Contains key metrics · Lives in finance / leadership folders

Duplication

72

How much an asset overlaps with others.

Similar filenames & columns · Similar formulas & SQL · Similar metric names · Same business domain

Staleness

54

How likely an asset is obsolete.

Not accessed recently · Old modified date · Failed refresh · No clear owner

Owner risk

79

How exposed you are if one person leaves.

Only one editor · Owned by one person · Manually maintained · Critical but undocumented

Manual process

63

How much hand-work an asset hides.

Copy/paste style files · Recurring exports · Static CSV inputs · Manual override tabs
